A type III porous-thermo-elastic problem with quasi-static microvoids

Abstract In this work we study, from the numerical point of view, a one-dimensional thermoelastic problem where thermal law is type III. Quasi-static microvoids are also assumed within model. The variational formulation leads to coupled linear system made equations and it written in terms velocity, volume fraction temperature. Fully discrete approximations introduced by using finite element method backward Euler method. A stability property priori error estimates proved, deriving convergence under adequate additional regularity. Finally, some simulations presented demonstrate accuracy approximation behavior solution.
